Match Report | Dart 2 – 1 Okehampton ladies 9
This week Okehampton travelled to Exeter to play Dart 2nds, following last week’s win the pressure was on to prove it wasn’t a one off. From the start Okehampton piled on the pressure and were rewarded soon after with a goal from Hannah Whiteley. This gave Okehampton the confidence to push forward again and some great skill in midfield from Louise Weller and Anna Speak allowed Annabel Rademaker to make it 2-0. Okehampton weren’t happy with this and pushed on looking for more. Captain Kim Davey worked hard to get a shot on goal which was helped in by Lesley Bingham to take them 3 ahead. Dart hit back on the break and despite Nicola Stoneman, Nicky Pedrick and Elisa Gibb’s efforts they managed to slip the ball past Keeper Alice Wiseman. The second half saw Okehampton add to their goal tally with Jo Moppett making light work of the Dart defence to slot the ball home. A string of short corners lead to several chances before a well worked one allowed Bingham to get her second to make it 5-1. Shortly with the help of Sophia Marshal both Moppett and Rademaker got their second goals to make it 7-1. Davey made another fantastic shot which was deflected in by Moppett to complete her hat trick. The final goal was another Davey cross which was helped in by a waiting Rademaker to get her hat trick and earn her man of the match. Davey despite her efforts didn’t manage to enter on the score sheet. Final score Dart 2nds 1 Okehampton 9. Next week Okehampton Ladies are back at home hosting ISCA 4s. |
