Match Report | Okehampton - 5 Dart -1 In contrast to last week, Okehampton felt at home in the wind and rain in what was going to be a much tougher game against Dart. Okehampton pushed from the start piling pressure on the Dart defence allowing Jo Moppett to have a clean hit and start the Okehampton score line. Quick passing between Kim Davey, Annebelle Rademaker and Jo Moppett let Hannah Whiteley hit the second past the keeper. Scrappy play then made Dart look dangerous on the attack and the Okehampton defence of Nicola Stoneman, Nicky Pedrick and Carol Taylor had to work hard to keep Dart at bay but Dart managed to break them down and make the score 2-1. After a stern talking to from Captain Kim Davey at half time, Okehampton came out fighting. After a series of short corners, a fast ball from Sophie Whiteley to Hannah Whiteley and then back, allowed Sophie to score her first goal of the season. Annebelle Rademaker and Sophia Marshall linked well down the wing but were unfortunately denied any opportunities. A fast run from Jo Moppett down the line let Hannah Whiteley score her second from a fast cross. The final goal came from Sophie Whiteley who slotted the ball past the keeper to make the final score 5-1. Okehampton play Teign 2 at home next Saturday at 2pm in a top of the table clash. |
