Okehampton 2nds   V   Honiton Hornets Sat 3rd October 2015

The Okehampton 2nds were caught off guard from the very start of the game and allowed Honiton to score three quick goals in the first few minutes.  Okehampton continued to struggle and could not find any form of flow to the game, this in turn keeping the defence under relentless pressure from the Honiton forwards.  Some good saves were made by Okehampton  goalkeeper Daisy Morgan, voted player of the match, but the goals kept coming and Okehampton soon found themselves 5-0 down. However, they never gave up and after some decisive, neat passing from Viv Weatherington to Alex Collins in the circle who then slipped the ball to Rachel Adams who was quick score, Okehampton had a much needed boost from their first goal.  Honiton scored yet again giving 6-1 at half time.

The second half saw positive change from a rearranged Okehampton defence allowing the mid-field, namely Tilly Dixon, Holly Davidson & Zoe Curtis he ability to feed balls through to the Okehampton forwards.  This lively tempo gave some good chances to score and Alex Collins gave Okehampton their second goal. A third goal came from Rachel Adams scored from a short corner.  By now the game had evened up and Okehampton had found their stride with Collins giving them a fourth goal; a good come back considering such a shaky start.  Final score 6 – 4 to Honiton.
