Match Report On a bright and sunny Sunday, oke started strongly in this must win trophy game against Plymouth University 2s, knowing that the losing team would be knocked out of the competition. Jo moppett started strongly in her usual style, with flowing passes up the pitch, the resulting strike deflected by the keeper in the air within 2 minutes, setting the tone for the game. Goals came quickly with oke going 4-0 up with efforts from moppet and an impressive hat trick from new find Laura Parsons before conceding a goal on the break. After half time oke worked hard despite the heat, led by Carol Taylor, the defence successfully protected their goal whilst adding to their score tally with strikes from captain Kim Davey both in open play and a successfully converted penalty, Hannah Whiteley, annebelle rademaker and another from Moppett. Amidst this flurry a fluke penalty corner gave plymouth their 2nd consolation goal despite keeper Alice Wiseman's best efforts. A fantastic reverse stick effort got Laura her 4th of the day ending on a high at 10-2, another double figure score meaning that oke progress convincingly to the next round.   Next week league fixtures resume with Okehampton facing Dart 1s away.
