This week, the Oke seconds headed down to Truro to face the Truro B side for their penultimate league match. The game started well with strong play from both sides. With good link up play from the defence, Oke managed to work the ball up and create a number of opportunities which unfortunately were not converted. With a break from the home side, Okehampton were under pressure and were punished by a ball making its way through the defence and into the back of the goal. With heads still up, Oke were detirmined to get themselves back on top. Link up play from the midfielders Rob Yells, Angus Cunningham and Toby Lloyd gave Okehampton the opportunity they were after. Swiftly finding Jake Lloyd who caused havoc with the Truro defence, and neatly picked out Stuart Jarvis who casually directed the ball into the top corner. Now at 1-1, both teams were eager to get the winner. Increasing the pressure, Okehampton maintained good form setting themselves up for another opportunity which James Stevens slotted away. The Oke side were unlucky to concede a number of short corners which Truro successfully converted them into goals. The final score stood at 4-2 to Truro. Next week Okehampton play their final league game of the season - facing Bodmin at home.
