Falmouth - 2

Having had 2 wins in a row, okehampton were on a high and ready for top of the league, Falmouth.

Oke had first push back and attacked from the whistle, pushing forward with fast passing and pace. Midfielders Sophie Whiteley and Hannah Gibbons' worked well through the middle distributing the ball to the wingers. Anna speak, Emily Rowlands had some great runs down the wing with crosses into the forwards, Lesley Bingham and Amanda Sim who pressed the Falmouth defence with some great shots on goal but were denied scoring by the keeper.

Falmouth fought back and were soon pressing the oke defence. Nicky Pedrick, Abi Colton and Laura Parsons worked well together with some great tackles and interceptions and keeper Alice Wiseman making some great saves and preventing Falmouth from scoring.

Hannah Gibbon's and Sophie Whiteley worked tirelessly through the middle holding off the opposition and fighting to get ball through to Oke forwards Joey Drake and Nicky Strawbridge who pushed hard against the Falmouth defence.

Again Oke defence where pressed with player of the match Nicky Pedrick making a great save on the goal line to keep the score neutral.

By the half time whistle the score was 0-0.

2nd half and frustrated Falmouth were determined to score and attacked hard and gained a short corner. Okes defence defended well but Falmouth managed to score with a well played ball.

Not deflated, Oke continued to work hard, using their pace and runs down the wing from Ellie shayler and Anna speak with crosses into the forwards who again pressed the opposing defence with shots on goal.

Nearing the end of 2nd half and Falmouth had a well played ball down the wing to  high player who found their way round the Oke defence to score.

Oke didn't give, with still minutes to play they upped the pace and fought back but to no avail. The game ended 2-0.
