Mens Team Vs PGSOB C

Okehampton A went into their first home game determined and ready to face PGSOB C team. Within the first minute of the game, excellent attacking play from Bingham on the right wing passed on to Luxton who crossed the ball into the circle to Glanville. An unlucky deflection resulted in the ball just missing the post but gave the young home side confidence to continue attacking their opposition.

The Okehampton defence of Yelland, Gray, Jarvis and Bowles kept control of any attacks sent their way, leaving keeper Westlake very little to do in goal. At the end of the half the 0-0 score left both teams ready for the next 35 minutes. Okehampton's midfield trio of Bourne, Smith and Morgan expertly kept control of the centre pitch and a defensive error from PG's gave the Okehampton forwards an opportunity in the form of a short corner. An excellent save by the away sides keeper left the score as a clean sheet and the game came to a close with a draw. Okehampton were disappointed with the draw but happy with the points awarded and ready to take on Penzance away next week
