On a dreary day okehampton ladies first’s spirits were not dampened. After a slow start, Emily Rowland received a corker of a cross from Lesley Bingham and managed to slot the ball into the left corner. This sparked a further two goals from Bingham, set up skilfully by man of the match Nicky Strawbridge. The half time break was used tactically to restore energy in the team which was converted into enthusiasm to score more goals. Bingham completed her hat trick with a struggle with the goaly on the floor, finished with a reverse hit. Hannah Whitley was inspired by this victory and with help from midfielders Lucy wiseman and Molly Marvin managed to secure two more goals for the team. Breaks from the opposition were confidently intercepted by defence Laura Parsons and Sophie Whitley which allowed a break from Nicky Strawbridge to be converted into a clean goal by Rochelle Wonnocot.
