Match Report | Okehampton men's seconds travelled to Plymouth to play Devonport services. Oke expected an increase in game tempo after the break as the Services looked to equalise, but they withstood the onslaught and gradually built up their own counter attacks forcing the home side to concede a penalty corner. Ben Jones made no mistake with the shot to double the Oke lead. Devonport reply was to attack with more purpose and forced Oke to concede a penalty corner, but Jacob Jones in the Oke goal tipped the shot around the upright. The Oke defence was resolute and a perfectly weighted through ball put Neil Rowlands in on goal and he took his chance well to add to the scoreline. As the pace of the game slowed, Ben Jones was able to add a fourth to seal the win on the road and keep the side on top of their league. Next week they entertain PGSOB C on Saturday in Okehampton and travel to Liskeard to play Caradon for a rearranged game on Sunday |
